What is E-Design? E-Design services are simply interior design services offered online. Using E-Design is an easy and affordable alternative to traditional interior design or decorating services.
Virtual design consultations are becoming increasingly popular. E-Design services can range from small to large and can range anywhere from assistance with selecting a few accessories to help with outfitting an entire room (or rooms). Furniture placement, new furniture selection, window treatment options, or even selecting a single paint color are some of the items I can help you with.
The designer does not need to visit the room in question. The client shares photos of their home, measurements and inspirational images with the designer over the internet and communication between the designer and client is completed via messaging and email. The design is provided virtually and the client orders and installs the new items themselves.
E-Design interior design services are perfect for clients who are seeking design help but do not mind doing some groundwork to prepare for and to implement the project themselves. Virtual interior design offers design direction and designer expertise so that the client can produce a designer style result at an affordable price. If you like to DIY, but want a professional plan to execute yourself, then an E-Design is the solution for you!
With E-design, the items are typically retail only. If you are interested in trade only selections, or a combination of retail and trade only items, please contact me so we can discuss how furnishings and décor are purchased and billed.
E-Design Process
Questionnaire
Contact me to get started! Once I receive your request, I will follow up in an email and provide you with a link to my client portal where you can complete the online project questionnaire so that I can gather information about your space, project goals, budget, and style preferences.
Design Prep
In my follow up email I will request any further information needed, including photos and dimensions of the space. I will send you tools to help you with this! Take plenty of good photos and make note of any existing pieces you want to keep to work with the new design. I will schedule a phone call if needed to discuss the project. After this discussion a cost for your service will be determined, a design contract will be provided and payment will be collected.
Design
At this point I begin space planning and sourcing for your project. Based on your design scope I will create a design board for you to review. You will request any changes or edits. Once edits are made, I will send you a final scheme for approval.
Final Design
Finally I will organize the shopping list and designer notes that will serve as a *do-it-yourself* guide to implementing the design yourself!

24 hour access to online design platform with the project (platform is interactive so you can leave comments on each item that you like/don’t like)
Floor plan to scale (we collaborate to ensure all pieces work properly in the space)
Selection of furniture and major decor items (e.g. a living room includes an area rug, furniture, lighting (up to 2 lamps and one chandelier), pillows, mirrors and wall art (up to 2 pieces)

1 design concept board
2 rounds of revisions (if needed)

Selection of window treatments using ready-made drapes, shades, drapery hardware, can be added for $150+ depending on number of windows

Gallery walls for photos or art

This service is perfect if you have furniture or are about to purchase furniture but just need to know the best layout for the space. This service is also great for creating a plan for moving into a new house. Will discount additional floor plans purchased with this service.

Aren’t sure what you need? I would be happy to have a consultation with you. Perhaps you have all of your furniture and items but do not love the way it looks. Send me photos of your space and I will review and give feedback on what to change, update or move. If you know that you need new items and want to shop for them yourself, I will review and give feedback on what to shop for!
