Here is one my favorite chalk paint makeovers. This dated cherry armoire was in our bedroom holding a TV and clothing. It is so heavy and large that we couldn’t get it down the stairs to get rid of it when we made over our master bedroom. Rather than take a hammer to it to break it up to get it downstairs, I decided that it would be a great storage piece for blankets and other linens, so I painted it and we moved it into our upstairs hallway. It holds so much – the drawers fit tablecloths, cloth napkins, placemats and pillow covers, too!
For the exterior I used Annie Sloan chalk paint in graphite and Renaissance dark wax. The interior is Renaissance chalk paint in ivory tower and Annie Sloan clear wax.
