January is National Get Organized Month. If you have been decluttering and organizing the last couple of weeks, consider selling some of your items for extra cash while making space in your home! There are several sites where you can sell your stuff, here is a list of the sites that I have been using. If you do a lot of listings though, make sure you allocate some time in your schedule to respond to questions and haggling ; )
eBay: This is my go to, the site I use the most. I have been selling there for years. It’s been great for selling collectibles, small home decor, clothing, handbags, toys and video games. Using the “Buy It Now” option is great, you can just list it and leave it. The “Auction” option is good if you are not sure how to price something or if the item is in high demand and the supply for it is low. “Buy It Now” is a fixed price listing that runs indefinitely until sold. An “Auction” runs for 10 days maximum.
Poshmark: I recently started using this one so I am still a newbie. I set up a “closet” to sell clothing and accessories. You can also sell household goods as well. I find that you can list things very quickly with their app. They have Posh Parties that you can join where users can meet up in the Poshmark app to shop, share, and sell clothing, accessories, and select home goods.
Craiglist, Facebook Marketplace, local consignment shops: Best for large items that are too hard to wrap and ship. Furniture, large tools, large household items, things like that.
For donating items we have a Goodwill and a Savers near us. And a “Buy Nothing” Facebook group.
What are some of your favorite online selling sites?

I love the Poshmark app! It’s a great way to get rid of old clothes and make room in the closet.
